Yes, it's from a template. I am technologically challenged. If the digital world evolves any more rapidly, I will have to become a writer of historical fiction. But for a few weeks more, at least, I am an author of novels, short stories, and picture books set in the twenty-first century.
My first teen novel: All
Good
Children (Orca
Book Publishers, 2011).
"[A] smart, polished novel, peopled with realistic characters in a well-developed, futuristic world." (Quill & Quire)
My first picture book: My
Cat
Isis, illustrated by Governor
General's Award-winning artist Virginie
Egger (Kids
Can
Press, 2011).
"Kids intrigued by ancient Egypt and cats will appreciate the narrator's evident love for both topics." (Booklist)
Walking
Backward (Orca,
2009) and 26
Tips for Surviving Grade 6
(Lorimer,
2011).
"Highly recommended." (Canadian Materials, on both books)

One day I will learn how to embed my Wordpress blog into this website. Until then, you can keep up with my news and chatter by going to www.catherineausten.wordpress.com.
Throughout this site, I link to blog entries from days past. If you venture forth, you will have to negotiate your own way back here via the "back" button on your browser. (But that's not so hard. Even I can do that.)
