Walking Backward Book Launch

Here is a broad sampling of photographs taken at the Walking Backward book launch. Over 60 people showed up for the event to eat, drink, and be merry.

There were crafts for the kids, refreshments for all, and lots of things to read and hear: an excerpt from the book, two songs by singer-songwriter Anni Preslawski, and a bank of windows hung with information panels on phobias and gorgeous artwork by local kindergartners (on the themes "What Makes me Happy" and "What Makes me Afraid").

Those afraid of snakes had the pleasure of watching me slice up the oversized snake cake in mid-slither.
